Computer Science and Information Technology are fascinating fields dealing with software and hardware that have a profound influence in all spheres of our daily lives. Consequently, IT related market has grown rapidly worldwide and now amounts to billions of dollars of annual transactions. Computer Science and IT are disciplines that deals with designing, implementing large, reliable, efficient and economical application. Our BSIT and BSCS programs have been developed as per requirement of industrial standards.

The Department of Computer Science and Information Technology has one of the finest and state of the art lab with a mission to nurture computer scientists, IT Engineers, researchers and entrepreneurs to enable them to lead the future world of IT and make a vital contribution to problem solving practices. Labs in HRIST contains creative technology infrastructure and in near future will become pioneers in South Punjab for establishing field of robotics and artificial intelligence. Computer Science and IT Department has an outstanding faculty, specializing in various IT related fields. They have teaching and research interests in diversified areas of IT, artificial intelligence, robotics, image processing, computer vision, natural language processing and the data science. The course contents are regularly updated to reflect current trends in technology and the need of upcoming research. Our faculty members are also involved in national and international level research in notable journals and conferences. Our aim is to groom and train students as passionate humans with keen sense of social and ethical responsibility to work for the betterment of the society in general.
